Deadwood Mountain Grand
A converted 1906 mining slime plant, suited to Black Hills music weekends.
Property overview
Deadwood Mountain Grand sits in Black Hawk, Cripple Creek, and Deadwood and reads, from the first minutes in the lobby, as a converted 1906 mining slime plant. This assessment covers the room product, the service layer, the dining programme, and the practical business of getting in and out of the building.
It suits Black Hills music weekends more than any other group, and the fit is specific enough that guests outside that description often find the property does not match what they wanted from the trip. The stay is defined by 1906 industrial conversion, live music hall and hillside position.
One practical point carries more weight than the score: the concert venue occupies the original industrial hall. Guests who plan around that single fact tend to rate the stay higher than the headline number would suggest.
